New Jersey beaches

New jersey has some of the finest beaches on the east coast of the united states. From the north eastern tip of Sandy hook, with old military forts and majestic views of the Manhattan skyline to the pizza filled aroma of Seaside heights, there are plenty of beaches to choose from to take your family. One place I recommend is Wildwood where there are two boardwalks filled with rides and games for your kids and loved ones. You can find literally hundreds of low cost hotels and motels to choose from, and most are located just a short walk from all the attractions.

Naples, Florida

Naples Florida is located on the southwestern edge of the florida coast. With world renowned architecture and old style building design, there is plenty of things for you to do in Naples. One leading attraction of this vacation destination is 5th ave district, where you can shop at some of the finest stores in Florida. In the spring, the weather is perfect and you can watch the sunset from the famous 2nd ave. pier. Every sunset is more majestic then the last, and you'll be sure to enjoy plenty of night time activities as well.

Top spots in San Diego, California

San Diego has been widely regarded as one of the top vacation spots in the United States. With its warm weather year round, and wide variety of activities from sea world to amusement parks, its sure to be a winner with your whole family. Another major attraction you can visit is the San Diego zoo. Some of the highlights of the zoo include the flamingo lagoon, the polar bear plunge and elephant mesa. Parking at the zoo is relatively cheap and there are a wide variety of restaurants to choose from.

By far one of the top vacation spots in the U.S. Would have to be New York City. There is so much to do in New York that its hard to list everything. You could visit the Statue of liberty, take a ride on a speedboat, or view the city from the air with a helicopter tour. You can find virtually any type of cuisine out there, at any time of the day or night, and be able to do almost anything your heart desires.

How to design for a Jacuzzi in your house. The name Jacuzzi originates from a family of Italian brothers who originated from Italy and settled in California, U.S.A in the early 1900s. The brothers were aeronautical engineers who designed propeller engines for air-crafts. They left aviation engineering and concentrated on agricultural engineering in the design of agricultural water pumps.

The whirlpool bath was invented in the early 1940s by Candidi Jacuzzi, a second generation Jacuzzi. His son suffered from Rheumatoid Arthritis and used to receive hydro-therapy from the hospital. He designed a portable pump that could be fitted inside a bathtub to give the hydro-therapy.

In the late 1960s, Roy Jacuzzi, a third-generation Jacuzzi toyed with the idea of marketing the pump-fitted bath tub dubbed the 'Roman Bathtub' to cater for the growing need for leisure.

Although the larger Jacuzzi family thought this idea was a little weird, the sales grew and soon the bathtub was designed to be a bit larger so as to fit in 2 people. The designed improved farther over several years and they became larger and larger.

The laid-back culture of California became a very good launching pad for the Jacuzzi more so as famous movie stars popularized it further in their quest for opulent and glamorous lives.

In 1979, they sold the company to Kidde Inc. which was later bought by Hanson PLC in 1987.In 1996, the company strengthened itself further by purchasing a leading Canadian swimming pool manufacturer, Haugh's Products Limited and diversified and improved the designs further.

Currently, Jacuzzi is the world's most recognized whirl pool brand name.

Space requirements.

A standard whirl pool comes in dimensions of 1.8m by 1.8m by 0.8m height.
The bathroom area should therefore be large enough to fit in this size and leave enough room for circulation and dressing inside the bathroom.

A bathroom size of 2.8 m by 2.8 m is sufficient enough to fit in a Jacuzzi and leave enough space around it.

Location.

They can be located next to a large bay window in the bathroom. For a room that has a lot of privacy such as an upstairs room, the window can be designed to be large to bring in a lot of light and give a panoramic view of the outside. For privacy purposes, the window glass can be frosted or obscured or one-way. Since a whirl pool is a place where people spend a considerable amount of time inside, it should have good wide panoramic views so as to avoid monotony and boredom.

They can also be placed on the out-doors.

Installation.

The floor area is screened and raised 100mm form the floor level with a bed of cement-sand mortar. It is placed on top and screwed to the ground. The connecting plumbing pipes are fixed to the house's water pipes and the pump is connected to the electricity point. Ceramic tiles are then fitted around the wall to a height of 2.1 meters above ground level so as to protect the wall from moisture. The ceramic wall tiles can be designed to a pattern and colour of your choice.

These whirlpools in Kenya cost around KES 60,000 and are available in hardware shops such as Doshi in Industrial area. The price depends on the size and shape. They come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes.

How to Plan and Design an Ayurvedic Wellness Spa

With the present-day lifestyle getting hectic and busier by the day, one thing that is getting scarce is perhaps the availability of time for oneself, one's family or for ones wellbeing. This scenario is not only scary but also dangerous as it spells disaster for a physically and mentally healthy body in you. This realization has given birth to a profitable business niche globally - The Wellness Business. Today world over wellness centers are doing thriving business. While there are no authentic figures available, conservative estimates hint at a whopping figure of $ 250 billion as the size of this market, and still counting.

Global competition in the wellness industry has given rise to a number of wellness styles and therapies to emerge. The latest fad seems to be the traditional Indian system of Ayurveda. While there are a number of well-planned Ayurvedic wellness centers in India and especially in its birthplace Kerala, what is interesting to note is that a strong demand in this therapy is generating a keen interest from luxury hospitality industry. You can today find Ayurvedic wellness centers in luxury hotels and resort spa's globally.

The science of Ayurveda is founded on the principle that the universe is composed of five elements that is air, fire, water, earth and space (ether). All these elements are represented in us by three energies called the "doshas", namely the Vata, Pitta and Kapha. When any of the energy exceeds its established proportion in the body, the balance of elements gets disturbed and, the body loses its balance. Every human being has a distinct ratio and our wellness depends on maintaining this crucial balance. The science of Ayurvedic therapy helps maintain this energy or dosha balance.

Planning an Ayurvedic wellness center is a complex task. It not only requires in-depth knowledge of the science of Ayurveda, but also of the science of Vastu for best results. The therapy is very individual centric and therefore needs very close attention. A well-planned Ayurvedic wellness center therefore has three essential sections.

Consulting

Since the therapy is extremely individual centric, it requires a firsthand knowledge of one's body through individual consulting by an expert Ayurvedic practitioner. A well-equipped room is therefore required to sit with the wellness seeker to evaluate his or her energy levels and suggest wellness remedies.

Therapy Rooms

A number of therapy rooms are provided, the number depends on the demand and results of market survey. There are different types of therapies and therefore the furnishings of rooms differ depending on the therapy offered. A typical treatment room will however have a single piece wooden tabletop called the "Adoni" to give Ayurvedic massage therapy. Each room also has its own private steam box connected to a central steam generator. The rooms also have their own attached private bath or shower rooms.

Yoga/meditation/workout room

Since Ayurvedic wellness believes in physical, mental and spiritual well-being of the body, a good Ayurvedic wellness center is also provided with an area where a wellness seeker can perform prescribed yoga exercises or practice meditation for a defined period for the therapy to give its full results.

An Ayurvedic wellness center or better called Ayurvedic spa has to take care of two more factors that are essential. Firstly, it must have qualified and trained therapists on the one hand and therapy consultants on the other. The second element is the therapy medium or various herbal and medicinal oils, powders, and aromas used for massages, baths and body packs. Some of the best Ayurvedic spas are architecturally laid in a manner that the interior seems to brush the nature. Creation of traditional ambiance assumes great importance in the overall personality of the spa.

Wellness by itself is a thriving and financially lucrative business. Ayurvedic spa business is even more lucrative as it offers "preventive" and "curative" therapies attracting both healthy people wanting to get healthier and not so healthy wanting to get-well. However, it is best to concentrate on the preventive aspect of therapies in a spa than to embrace curative aspect also. Doing so would result in the "Spa" character of the facility being diluted. For someone wanting to become part this billion-dollar business, my advice would be that he or she should take professional services of an expert consultant to ensure starting on a technologically sound and financially viable footing.
