San Francisco's Premier 5 Star Experience

To be pampered is the ultimate in pleasure. Pampered in anyway is fulfilling. One can be pampered by life in general if all is "Zen" at home. What about when you are away from home? The world can be cruel, not caring if you are happy at all. Pampered? You're lucky if you don't get cheated. That is why one must go the extra mile every so often and really enjoy the security that comes with pleasure.

The five star hotel experiences is a fabulous place to truly relax and be pampered. Day spas and fine restaurants combine with spectacular service to fulfill your hearts truest desire. You know what I'm talking about. Just to feel like you are special. Just worthy to be treated as royalty. Eat like a king and playing like a prince, (queen and princess, too. No offense ladies.)

Every five star resort boast its own fine dining venue. World class chefs create delicacies unique to the area culture, even better with fine, world-class wine. After dinner one can always relax in a fine lounge and quite often enjoy some wonderful piano music.

The city by the bay is home to some of the world finest hotels. The capital of the Pacific Rim, San Francisco is quite often visited by royalty and high level diplomats. Where do they stay?

"The city's highest rated hotel (the only five-star and five-diamond hotel in San Francisco) with a five star/five diamond restaurant "The Dining Room". A $12.5 million renovation of all guest rooms and suites was completed in June 2006. Conveniently located on the California Street cable car line, in the heart of one of the world's favorite cities. A welcoming and caring staff provides a memorable hotel experience enhanced by unrivaled Epicurean offerings set in a 1909 San Francisco architectural landmark." (The Ritz-Carlton San Francisco, San Francisco, CA, United States Overview | priceline.com, retrieved April, 2010).

Of Course, there are always other options. Fine hotels to suite every budget. However, everybody needs to spoil themselves occasionally. Go ahead; spoil yourself and the ones you love. Treat yourself, find some peace and enjoy the finer side of life. You only live once!

San Francisco is the friendliest big city in the world. It is my favorite, right up there with Seattle, but that is another subject. Visit the city by the bay. Culture waits to satisfy the most sophisticated palate.

Scrapbook Retreats and Quilt Retreats are Popular

Surprisingly, scrapbook retreats and quilt retreats are among the most popular retreats today. The idea is simply to join a bunch of other ladies sharing a common hobby for a time of fellowship, great food, and a diversion away from day to day life. But why are scrapbook and quilting retreats so popular?

Maybe it's because they are often combined and spa facilities and include a manicure, pedicure, massage or facial. Or, maybe the reason is that it is located in an old country farmhouse on 100 acres, a converted dairy, or the peace and quite of a bed and breakfast. But the real answer is that they are simply fun.

Some retreats are small and intimate; some are much larger and located at larger hotels or resorts. Some offer more instruction and classes, and are more focused workshops. Others are more of a relaxing place where you can get away from the house and kids, pursue your craft as much as you like, and enjoy a lot of other optional activities. There is a lot of choice. And it's all up to you.

Retreats that specialize in scrapbook pride themselves in providing a luxurious workspace with adequate light and comfortable chairs. Often it is accessible around the clock, so you can work an extra half hour before you go to bed or when you get up early. They will even boast about how much cropping space is available to each attendee. A good 3 to 4 feet of cropping space is advertised. They may also have professional design equipment on site along with classes, seminars, and individual instruction by professional scrapbook experts. If you want to arrange your own group, discounts are generally available.

Quilting retreats are just as popular as scrapbook retreats. Here again they are often combined with spa activities, can be small and informal, or more structured with various activities related to quilting. They also include other activities available in the area, such as wine tasting or a sightseeing tour.

There are quilting cruises, quilting retreats combined with eco-tourism in Costa Rica, and quilting retreat workshops all over the United States. A cruise quilting retreat has classes and time to quilt while at sea, yet in port, everyone goes their separate ways. Couples are also welcome, where the spouse can enjoy the ship's activities.

Scrapbook and quilting retreats are really women's retreats. Bring along a close friend, sister or daughter and you'll have a good time. But a lot of them can work out for husbands too, especially if you go with another couple. The guys can join you for some of the other activities, such as sightseeing. They can find things to do that interest them, while you pursue your interest. Everyone has time to do what they like, and the time together can be spent sharing some of the goings-on of the other, or maybe not!
