We researched our options and found that the 5 Seasons Resort and Spa offered an amazing Spa package getaway that included accommodations in our own private individual "cabins" AND our choice of Spa treatments at the resort's "full-service" spa. Okay, so now we just had to get past that sense of being frivolous and get into the mindset of a Spa vacation package as a therapeutic answer to our otherwise very hectic lives.
Our drive up 101 to the Russian River area was transformative! Turning on to River Road where the 5 Seasons is located transported us to another world, a world full of magnificent redwood trees and crisp clean air. We arrived at the 5 Seasons Resort and Spa mid-day on Friday and were greeted by a friendly staff, attending to our every need. We took note of the fact the resort has an event center - for future visits and the brilliantly sparkling pool and hot tub, and outdoor fire pit looked so inviting. We could tell we were at the center of relaxation in the Russian River Valley area.
We settled into our eco-friendly cabins and were thrilled to learn that the resort uses only eco-friendly products in both their cabins and that Spa.
We soon learned that we would be able to take advantage of a health spa vacation that even included a spa treatment called the "River Spa Bliss". We refreshed ourselves with all the amenities this full service spa had to offer including massage and facials.
