Florida is known as The Sunshine State for a reason. There is a lot of sunshine in the spring. Even if it rains, it is more like a quick semi-tropical shower and then the sun is out again.
If you choose to go to the Florida Keys, you step into another time and lifestyle. Everything is very laid back. There are a lot of different places to eat shop and sight see. Of course, there are beaches.
Another reason people come to Florida is to walk the long beaches. You can look for shells and sand dollars. Some of the best shelling in the world is at Captiva Island and Sanibel. You can look offshore and see shrimp boats and sail boats.
Sailing is a big pastime is Florida. It would be a fun activity if you know how to sail. If you don't, there are other types of boat rentals.
For a lot of students and even their parents there are a lot of fun activities. With so much to see and do, there never seems to be enough time to do them. By the end of the day all you may want to do if find a nice soft pillow. For College students, though, the party is just about to begin. All of the nightclubs and restaurants are just starting to open as the sun goes down. This is where the night life begins.
Many people can't understand why all of these college students all go to Florida, but, the college students all know why. They would rather go to Florida than anywhere else. To many, it is Florida or nowhere. Some would stay on campus or at home if they are not able to join their friends in Florida.
With many students going groups there are ways for them to afford a Florida Spring Break. Some will get part time jobs to pay the expenses, others will carpool. They do not let the high gas prices and expensive air fare ruin it for them. They will find a way. When they get home, they quit the part time job and get back to studying.
If you are planning a spring break this year, give Florida a try. There is so much to see and do that you will want to come back year after year for all the sun, sand and fun.
